Microtek
International is pleased to announce support for the GNU toolchain.
Microtek
has upgraded the loader portion of the SLD debugger. Software developed
using the GNU toolchain can now be loaded by Microtek Powerpack debug
tools. This solution brings the following features to GNU debugging:
- Flexible
run control. Execute your code by single stepping source or assembly
code instructions, run to a specified location, execute into a called
function, or execute to the end of a function.
- Register
value control. View, set, and modify register values with a mouse
click.
- Processor
breakpoint register. Set breakpoints and watchpoints in ROM and
view watchpoints in real time.
- Conditional
breakpoints. Set conditional breakpoints to stop execution on specific
conditions, such as when a variable reaches a desired value.
- Watchpoint.
Stop the program when a specified memory location is accessed.
- Source
and symbol control. Quickly change the scope of source and symbols
available to the debugger, while viewing the function call hierarchy.
-
Data visibility. View and modify values of local variables, complex
data structures and pointers.
-
Symbol browser. View class types and structures.
-
Predefined tool buttons. Quickly perform frequently used commands.
-
Memory Specification. Display or modify memory by specifying
a selector offset or physical address.
